If you’re having trouble finding the right fit for your helmet, I recently added some updated fitment tips and troubleshooting proper helmet fit on the Gear 101 section of my website here. Hope this helps!
Last week I talked about choosing a motorcycle jacket. I gave you some tips and advice on what to think about when it comes to making the best choice. If you missed, watch now:
WHEN: 9:30 PM East / 6:30pm West (so more Left Coasters can join in!) My last few streams were at 8pm East, so I'm pushing it out so my friends out west can also join :)
WHAT TOPIC: Motorcycle Boots: How do you choose a pair? What do you need to consider? Why is it not a great idea to buy your motorcycle boots on Zappos? And for my fellow women riders, I'm going to give you ideas for men's boots that work really well for us for different lifestyles including ADV/Race and Touring. We know that men have far more options, but luckily brands like TCX and Dainese make sizes small enough for us to wear. I'm also going to break down fit differences between mens and women's boots.

Join me for a Gear Seminar in San Francisco
Tonight! Monday, February 25, 2013
6pm Pacific / 9pm Eastern
I'll be at Piston and Chain motorcycle club in San Francisco to share my knowledge, passion and love for motorcycle gear. Basically it'll be an in person overview of my shopping tips and gear 101. Samples (courtesy of Scuderia West) will be shown from my friends at REV'IT, Alpinestars, and Dainese. Of course, I'll be bringing ALL women's gear. This isn't a women's specific seminar, I'm simply bringing goodies for women to ogle and look at it since well, most women will never see this many samples in one place :)
And I'll be streaming it LIVE on Youtube! If you can't make it, it'll be available to watch/download afterwards!
At 6pm Pacific / 9pm Eastern, log onto http://www.youtube.com/gearchic and you'll see the link for the live video. Fingers crossed for zero technical difficulties. See you then.
PS, for those of you who show up in person, a small token of appreciation will be handed out courtesy of Scuderia West.
November 17, 2012. Once again I'll be back in San Mateo, doing a few gear seminars for everyone to enjoy .
Unfortunately I won't be on the show circuit except for this one show since it's practically in my backyard.
I'll be giving my seminar on the main stage on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 2:00pm and 4:30pm. So mark your calendars and come by and say hi. I don't have a booth specifically, but I'll be wandering around, catching up with friends and checking out the show. Message me on twitter or text me at 415-857-GEAR if you want to connect!
If you haven't been to one of my seminars, I go over my shopping tips in detail and give you all the information you need on buying motorcycle gear (for men and women!).
It's also going to be my birthday weekend, so it would be awesome to see as many of you there as possible!
I'm excited to announce that Thursday, April 5th at 6pm is going to be the next CoEd Gear Seminar at the Moto Shop!
This class is going to be limited to just 5 men and women, so that everyone gets plenty of one on one attention and so the class finishes well within the 90 minutes allowed (probably a little sooner too). I'll do my best to have samples for everyone on hand (mens gear too!).
This hands on gear seminar will show how to determine the right fit and sizing for your motorcycle gear. How should that jacket fit? Is it too snug? Too loose? Why does it need to fit this way? How long do my pants really need to be? Why are motorcycle boots better than regular boots? With samples partially provided by Scuderia West, you'll get to try on helmets, jackets, boots, gloves and pants. This is the perfect class for new riders or seasoned riders new to the world of motorcycle gear. If you bring /wear an outfit that you currently ride in, you'll also walk away with a personalized fit evaluation and recommendations. Since the goal of this seminar is to provide enough one on one time for each student, the class size will be limited to 5 students.
How to register, location, etc.:
Hope to see you there!

Or is it a little snug in the chest/waist, perfectly aligned at your shoulders and just the right length at the arms? :)

If you missed the chance to attend last week's hands on gear seminar, my next one will be on April 22nd, after the ladies only oil change class at the Moto Shop. I'll also be scheduling a co-ed gear seminar soon, also at the moto shop. Check back for schedule updates on my Events list on the right.
