Back from Vegas and pics

Just got back from a week in Vegas, attending the NAB (nat'l association of broadcasters) conference and rented bikes for a day from Las Vegas BMW. If you ever want to rent a beemer in LV, they are definitely the place to go!

I've uploaded more pics here, if you care to see little old me on a big F800ST. We rode up to the Valley of Fire and had amazing weather as a bonus.

Here's a pic of me and my husband 5 years ago in Vegas, sharing a scooter. Who knew this would lead to such things as renting BMW's?

Tshirts $$ Reduced and New Love

I've reduced the price to $24.00 (includes free first class mail)! I'm trying to get a new design going, but can't do that until these are gone.

Sizes: S, M, L, XL

Email me with your address and size!

Ok, now onto new love. My newest crush is on this jacket:

Rev'it Pearl ($310 US):

She looks much better in person and on the upper half of my body! It has a full removable liner and what you can sort of see is the flap in front that goes over the front zipper so as to keep the water and wind out. Oh yes. I like the light gray one as well. Not sure how well I could keep that clean. I'm looking to replace the unisex Rev'it jacket that I bought 3 years ago. It has served me well, numerous trips down South and keeping me warm in the city and around the Bay Area. It's fully waterproof (built into the outer shell) but I always feel like the michelin man when I wear it. It doesn't taper at all at the waist and I have to cinch it tighter, which makes it a little poofier up top than I'd like. No matter how tightly I secure the neck (velcro strap), I always manage to get air down the front of my chest. Which is the last place you want a windtunnel to be forming while going down the freeway at 70mph.

A good textile jacket should hug you in all the right places. If you have to cinch it down all the way at the waist to fit you, then you need a slightly more fitted jacket, or the next size down. This is already an XS (Unisex, not women's).

Hopefully I'll have this jacket soon and can take some before/after pics.

Dainese San Francisco Sale!

In honor of International Women's Day on March 8, 2008, the D-Store in San Francisco will be having a storewide sale on women's gear! If you're going to be in the area, I highly recommend stopping by.

Here's some more information from one of the managers at the D-Store:

If you are a petite, small woman having a hard time finding motorcycle gear that fits you, Dainese is the place to go. They make some of the smallest leather garments available to women. Some of their jackets go down to a Euro size 34! That's the equivalent to a 0-2. Depending on the cut of the jacket, some will be more fitted than others. But I've always had great experiences fitting women who are US size 0-2-4 in Dainese gear. Another option is R'evit. I recently had a customer come into Scuderia who was teeny tiny and nothing we had fit her as well as this textile jacket from R'evit:

Here's a review of it from Webbikeworld:

The only drawback to this jacket (and R'evit gear in general) are the long arms. They tend to make all their garments extra long. Although, this is good news if you're a tall, lean woman who has long arms, legs and torso. In that case, R'evit is the brand for you!

A couple other recommendations for petite women:

New AlpineStars Boots

As part of the 2008 lineup for AStars, these are 2 boots that Scuderia is going to carry soon! Unfortunately they're not waterproof or water resistant; strictly fall/spring/summer riding.

Stella Torre / List $239.95

Stella Armada/ List $269.95:

Something about the Armadas that make me want them, bad. I like the fact that the zipper stops about 3 inches from the top of the boot so you can use the velcro closure to adjust for your calves. If I didn't adore my Daytonas so much, I might consider these! Let me know if you end up getting a pair, I'd love to hear how they are.
