Who are you?
Joanne T. Donn

Where do you live?
San Francisco, CA

Most importantly, what have you ridden and what do you ride now?
I started on an Aprilia Scarabeo 50cc scooter, and then a Kawasaki Ninja 250, then a Kawasaki z750s. I now ride a silver Suzuki SV650s.

What do you do for a living?
I've worked for the Cycle World International Motorcycle Shows in the Women's Center, and as a speaker in The Hub on gear. I work part time as an MSF instructor. My other part time job is in the apparel department of Scuderia West.

What is your goal with this website?
My goal is to help women find Ms Right in a sea of Ms Wrongs. I disagree with those who feel that there isn't anything available to them, due to their size/shape. The challenge is finding a resource to provide you with the right information to get what you need. I hope that my site serves this purpose well and hope to hear from those of you who feel that it isn't. Or, if there isn't an option available, I hope you'll let me know. I'm also here to help you figure out how your gear should fit and how to make the right shopping decisions. When something doesn't fit you, it may not protect you. Why bother spending a few hundred dollars on something that may not work well, doesn't fit, or you simply don't like?

I also hope that I can convince some of my readers to wear more gear if they're not wearing any. It's more important for me to encourage people to develop a lifelong habit of being fully protected.

What else do you want your readers to know?
That I'm not a store. Contrary to what you might think, I'm simply here to provide as much information as I can about what I call "Real Gear". Just because something says it's a Motorcycle jacket, doesn't mean it's necessarily made for riding. If it's not protective, functional and articulated for riding position, it's probably not meant to be ridden in.
